NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting Course This foundational course introduces new shooters to safe pistol handling, operation, and marksmanship. Participants will learn essential skills including firearm safety rules, parts and operation, ammunition knowledge, shooting fundamentals, and range practice. Successful completion provides the training required for NRA certification and builds confidence for responsible pistol ownership.

• Preparing for future NRA or CCW courses

What to Bring:

• A pistol of your choice

• Minimum 150 rounds (200 recommended) of new, factory ammunition (no reloads)

• Eye and ear protection

• Hat or cap, long pants, closed-toe shoes

• Sack lunch, water, and snacks
